Please join Cub Scout Pack 5 on August 13th and 14th at the Port Kent Campground for our annual Pack family camping event.  There is no cost to attend, and the Pack will provide dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning.  Please bring your own lunch Saturday (and Sunday if you do not plan on packing up after breakfast) and snacks and beverages as necessary for your family.  Siblings are welcome.   Please plan to arrive around noon on Saturday.

 

Depending on the weather and interest, we may travel to Wickham Marsh Wildlife Management Area, walk down to the private beach south of the Port Kent ferry dock to wade in the surf and look for driftwood and sea glass and fish (bring your own fishing gear -- and license for those over 16 who wish to fish), or explore the rugged terrain around Trembleau Mountain.   There will be a campfire on Saturday night.   Please dress appropriately for the weather -- this is a rain or shine event.

 

If you wish to attend, but do not have a tent, please let your Den Leader or Cubmaster know (click here for contact information) and we will attempt to help you locate appropriate camping equipment.
