Cub Day at Fort Ticonderoga - October 1st, 2011

Twin Rivers Council will be holding a fall Council Camporee at Fort Ticonderoga on Friday, September 30th through Sunday, October 2nd, 2011.  While Camporees are typically for older Scouts (Boy Scouts, Venturers, and Explorers), there will be a Cub Scout Activity Day on Saturday, October 1st which Cub Scout Pack 5 will be attending.

Registration for the Cub Day is from 9am to 10am on October 1st at the Fort, so we will probably depart Keeseville around 8am.  We will register for this event as a Pack, so please let your Den Leader know no later than September 19th if your son is interested in attending.   We are highly encouraging all Webelos to attend, so that they can experience all of the adventure and excitement of a Boy Scout camping event prior to bridging to the Boy Scouts.

The fee to attend is $11 per person.   The Pack will cover (from money earned from popcorn sales) the registration fee for 1st and 2nd year Webelos who are attending the event.  Additional informational materials on the Council Camporee are attached below.

Please note that this event is geared towards Scouts and Leaders -- for a great Cub Scout event for the entire family, including siblings, please check out the Cub Harvest Fun Day on October 8th at Camp Bedford here
