Directions from Malone and points north:   From Malone, take NY 30 (South) approximately 20 miles.   The entrance to Camp Bedford will be on your left.  Travel time from Malone is approximately 30 minutes. 

 

Directions from Plattsburgh and points east:  From Plattsburgh, take NY 3 (West).   Pass the sign for Loon Lake on your right, and then turn right towards Gabriels/Onchiota on Hwy 60.  In Onchiota (approximately 5.6 miles), turn left to continue on Hwy 60.  In 4.1 miles, turn right onto Jones Pond Road.  In 3.1 miles, turn right onto Route 86.  In 1.0 miles, turn right onto NY 30 (North).  Proceed approximately 11 miles, entrance to Camp Bedford will be on your right. 

 

Directions from Saranac Lake and points south:  From Saranac Lake, take NY 86 (West) 11.3 miles through Gabriels to Paul Smiths.  At Paul Smiths, turn right onto NY 30 (North).  Proceed approximately 11 miles, entrance to Camp Bedford will be on your right. 

 

CAUTION:  From NY 3, it appears that Hwy 99 (The Port Kent-Hopkinton Turnpike) though Loon Lake may be the shortest way to connect to NY 30.  However, this route is very isolated and in very poor condition and is not recommended.
