About Us

Cub Scout Pack 8005 (or just Pack 5 for short) serves boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grades in Keeseville New York and the surrounding area.   The Pack is chartered to the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #2072, Keeseville, New York.  Our Pack is always looking for new members to join our active group of boys.

The Pack is part of the Adirondack District, Twin Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Over the past few years, the boys in our Pack have participated in many fun-filled and educational activities, including: 
  • Camping
  • Fishing
  • Indoor Rock Climbing at The Crux in Willsboro
  • Tour of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Station at Plattsburgh Airport, including interior tours of the helicopter and jet aircraft located at the station
  • Tour of the WIRY radio station in Plattsburgh
  • Holiday Hayride and Caroling
  • Building Bluebird Houses
  • Pinewood Derby car races
  • Day trips to Great Escape 
  • Visits to a working sawmill
